Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects
IMPORTANT PROCESSING NOTICE
As the board staff enters their busy season, we remind you that we experience a significant increase in the volume of applications, renewals, phone calls, and emails we receive, which causes delays in our processing and response times.
Please note that our processing times increase to approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks from the date a complete application has been received in our office during our busy season. If you have not heard from the Board Office within six (6) weeks of submitting your application, please do not hesitate to contact our office regarding the status of an application. Prior to six (6) weeks after submitting an application, it will not have been processed. It is extremely critical that applicants carefully review the application instructions and submit a complete packet; otherwise, the processing times mentioned above may increase.
Lastly, when contacting our office, please only leave one voicemail or send us one email. Multiple calls or emails will further delay response time and processing. Your questions are important to us, and we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time!
The Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects licenses Architects and Landscape Architects. No person may practice as an Architect or Landscape Architect in the State of Wyoming without first obtaining a license from the Board.
Firm Registration
The Wyoming Board of Architects and Landscape Architects does NOT license or register firms. The Board only licenses individuals to practice architecture and landscape architecture in the State of Wyoming. For questions regarding business licensure, please contact the Wyoming Secretary of State's office at https://sos.wyo.gov/
Processing
Board Staff processes applications in the order of receipt. This typically takes 5-7 days depending on the volume of mail received. You will receive an email once received and processed. This email will also notify you if your submission is incomplete. Once your file is determined to be complete, staff will check with NCARB or CLARB to see if any state has reported discipline against you. Following this, your file will be emailed to an Application Review Committee for consideration. Review generally takes 1-3 weeks - this is an average and not a guarantee. Review time may vary due to the application type (NCARB & CLARB apps may go more quickly), current staff workload, if any discipline is disclosed, etc. Following approval, you will receive an email with your license information and your license materials will be mailed to the preferred mailing address you provide on the application form.
To check the status of your pending application, please contact felisha.ojeda@wyo.gov. Please limit your inquiries to no more than once weekly. The Board office will only communicate with you, the applicant, regarding the status of any application.
